About me
Now time for something about me. I am Gaurav Ghosh,
my hometown being Kolkata, West Bengal, India. I was born on 23rd August,
1985 at 20:01 hours at my hometown. I did my schooling from Lycee &
subsequently from Better High School. I am a member of the Hospitality Industry, specialising in the Kitchen Department(or Food & Beverage Production Department).I have worked with Hotels like Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, did training from ITC Hotel Sonar, Kolkata.
I also hold a professional qualification of B.Sc. in Hotel & Hospitality Administration offered by Indira Gandhi National Open University.
The subject "Astrology" in various forms attracted me right from my childhood. I remember once going through my own horoscope when I didn't know ABC of a horoscope still at my pastimes I used to go through it. I took membership in a nearby Library where I got some texts of Numerology by Cheiro & tried to decode not only my future, but also many people around me. I also got some books in Hindu astrology, but it was difficult for me to erect birthcharts without any assistance of Ephemeris. In the meantime, I received initiation from Shreemat Swami Gahanaanandaji Maharaj, who was the Vice-President of Ramakrishna Math & Mission then in the year 1999 & subsequently became the 14th president of the order. It was in the year 2004, in the month of January I became very much interested in astrology & took astrology seriously. Ever since then, I have gone through books like Jatak Parijat, Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra (or abbreviated to B.P.H.S.), & other classical texts of Astrology, not ignoring the classical texts on Prasna like Hora Shatapanchashika.
Since then I am giving some predictions with the name
of Shree Vishnu, whom I worship everyday. Anything that comes true is by
His grace only; it is grace that helps me to decode what is there in
future. I also see many things around which are being publicised in the
name of astrology like Kalsarpa Yoga, Kuja Dosha, Saare Saati, Vish Yoga
(something thats poisonous yoga) etc. I have dealing with all these for
the past 2 years & did some independent research on these topics. Its a
pity that still today people have some various misconceptions about
astrology. Many people sent me mails regarding what can be done to avoid
an accident or an ugly incident. My message for all is that "Astrology
doesn't change anyone's destiny. It can only act as a guide to find the
potential within yourself. It also cant prevent you from falling into a
pit. Astrology will just let you know so that you can take care of it
before you fall into the pit.
I am a council member of Ammas.com network in their Astrology service & various other services. I contribute my expertise there & also in various other yahoo jyotish forums like VedicAstrology, Jyotish Remedies, Jyotish Ganga, to name a few.
